The National AGM
The National AGM was held at the National Motorcycle Museum at Bickenhill on 11th April 2010, once again this year the meeting was short and good tempered. Following the meeting the awards were presented, two members of the Warwickshire section were honoured with awards.
Mike Wills received the E E Thompson Award for his involvement with the Anglo Dutch Rally over many years but especially for organising the 2009 event almost single handed.
Phil Roberts just missed out on the Mrs Daphne Hedington Dent Memorial Trophy which is awarded to a VMCC member under the age of 25 years who regularly rides in Club events. Unusually there were two nominations for the award this year, in past years there has been only one or none at all and the cup went to the other nominee.
The President, Colin Seaton, thought, as we all do, that we should encourage younger riders and presented Phil, who is 22, with one of the special awards that he as President is allowed to hand out.
