The Kenilworth Run 6 June 2010.
Last year the Kenilworh Run turned into a non event when it was washed out by torrential rain storms, I feared the worse this year when I was woken twice in the night by thunder and lightening followed by heavy rain. When we got up the rain had passed over but the sky was still dark.

The start of the run is nearly twenty miles from home so we set off fearing the worse, as it happened we need not have worried because the sun started to break through and when we arrived at the start we were told they had not had the overnight rain we had experienced.

Despite a weather forecast that promised rain some time during the day 25 machines turned out with two pillion passengers, we were very lucky and managed the fifty plus mile route through Warwickshire to the Worcestershire border and back travelling down a mix of narrow country lanes and reasonably traffic free A roads through some very pretty villages in the dry arriving at the finish, Hatton Country World, in bright sunshine.

After refreshments we went our separate ways home and I believe all got home in the dry as well. As I write this report the heavens have opened again so we were very lucky indeed.
Our thanks go to John and Ann Heywood for a superb route and Hatton Country World for allowing us to cordon off part of their car park on what was a busy day for them.
