The 54th Coventry Parade 8th August 2010
On a beautifully warm sunny day, 69 riders were flagged off from Coombe Park by the Lord Mayor of Coventry on the 54th Coventry Parade, led by Scott Brown on his 1897 Leon Bollee.

Riders had a choice of two routes, one of 65 miles and the other of 33. The long one led out through Brinklow, Kings Newnham and Dunchurch (where the short route turned back), then on past Grandborough and Stockton to Napton on the Hill.
The return leg followed a different route through the lanes past Birdingbury and Draycote to the lunch stop at Harborough Parva. Here we really were treated like royalty to a magnificent spread at the home of Linda and Michael Mahon, themselves involved with motorcycles and motorcyclists for many years as the former owners of Frettons of Leamington Limited, the Suzuki dealers.

Then back to Coombe Park via Easenhall, Pailton, and Brinklow for concours judging, with the awards being presented by one of the Section's elder statesmen, Peter Booth. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves.

Our thanks go to The Lord Mayor of Coventry for his attendance, Brian Robins and his team of helpers, Brian and Linda Mahon for their hospitality and splendid lunch, Geoff Booth for his commentary and Peter Booth for presenting the prizes.
