The Autumn Run 10th August 2010
On a bright sunny morning 25 bikes and riders with four passengers assembled at the Kenilworth Rugby Club for our annual Autumn Run.

With signing on completed we all set off on a 40 mile run in warm sunshine, the route took us in a couple of figure of eight loops along some very narrow lanes where some of the trees were in their full autumn gold with the others just on the turn, a time when the trees look their best, just before they shed the leaves and turn the lanes into skating rinks, avoiding the centres of the larger villages scattered along the route made for a very pleasant run.
Being a fine autumnal day we met rather a lot of horses and riders but to be fair the horses were well behaved and the riders polite, we also encountered a large number of cyclists due to a big cycle event being held in the area but again they did not bother us and we did not bother them.

The run ended at the Friendly Inn at Frankton, a biker friendly pub that we often frequent, Nigel and Deb, mine hosts, were away on holiday but the staff made us welcome, as usual.
After some lunch and a natter we all went our separate ways home.
Our thanks go to Alan Bailey for a superb route and the staff at the Friendly Inn for their hospitality.
