Warwickshire Sections AGM.
Our AGM is normally held at our January meeting, unfortunately due to the snow it was called off and rescheduled for the February meeting. We always invite the President to give us a talk at our February meeting so as Colin Seaton had already accepted the invitation we made it a dual event, Colin kindly agreed to present the awards and give a much shorter talk than he would normally have done.
The AGM went well and was over quite quickly, Martyn Roberts resigned from the committee and as all the other committee members were willing to stand again we were voted back in en-bloc the save time.
The Committee is, Chairman: Harry Wiles, Secretary: Helen Parker, Treasurer: Frank Parker, Vice Chairman: Alan Bailey, Assistant Secretary: John Heywood, Assistant Treasurer: Robert Thomas, Equipment Keeper: Bill Wise and committee member David Kendall.
Colin was then asked to present the awards and they were as follows, Chairman’s Award went to Alan Bailey, Rider of the Year was Frank Parker, the Ladies Award went to Helen Parker, the Vintage Cup went to Brenda Hallard and Clubman of the Year was David Kendall.
Colin then presented a bottle to Dave McMahon to pass on to son John for auditing our accounts.
Before Colin gave his talk he was presented with a Warwickshire Section T shirt by the Chairman, Harry Wiles. Colin then gave his talk and opened up the room for questions, after answering a number of questions he then chatted to section members before heading for home.
We thank Colin for travelling up to see us on what turned out to be a snowy evening, fortunately it was not too bad and we had a good turnout. We also thank our committee members for standing for another year and our congratulations go to all the award winners.
