Chairmans Social Report
Wednesday 22nd July, the day of the Chairman’s Social, turned out very wet and windy so we were expecting the worse for the evening, fortunately the weather eased a little as the day wore on. The evening was overcast and windy luckily the Blue Lias pub where the event took place escaped the heavy rain and 22 bikes turned out.
The people in the Coventry area were not so lucky and a prolonged heavy downpour put a few people off although some did brave the weather and ride. Half a dozen got fed up of waiting for the rain to ease and left Coventry in their cars so we finished up with over forty members sitting down to an excellent buffet.
After the food the weather was good enough for members and the public to walk round the bikes and have a chat so a good night was had by all. 
Our thanks go to our Chairman, Harry Wiles and his wife Fran for organising the evening also to our hosts Brian and Jane, and their staff, the buffet they provided was up to their usual high standard and enjoyed by everyone.
